18th Anniversary of ‘7 Days’ by Craig David

This week in 2000, Craig David released ‘7 Days’, which became his biggest worldwide hit.


In the UK, the song debuted at #1, becoming his second consecutive #1 single after ‘Fill Me In’. At the age of 19, he became the youngest male artist to have 2 #1 singles in the UK since Donny Osmond in 1973.

In Australia, it spent 10 weeks in the Top 10, peaking at #4, and was certified Platinum.

‘7 Days’ is his most successful song in the US, peaking at #10. It is one of only 3 songs by Craig to chart in America.

The song was also awarded ‘Best Contemporary Song’ at the Ivor Novello Awards.
