21st Anniversary of Tina Arena’s ‘In Deep’ album

On this day in 1997, Tina Arena released her ‘In Deep’ album.

‘In Deep’ was certified 3x Platinum in both Australia and France. The album debuted at #1 in Australia, spending three weeks at the top of the chart. In France, it peaked at #3 and remains the highest-selling album by an Australian female artist there.

The album’s track listing differed around the world, and some songs had varying vocal takes, and extended song lengths.

Singles from the album included ‘Burn’, ‘If I Didn’t Love You’, ‘Now I Can Dance’, ‘I Want To Know What Love Is’, ‘I Want To Spend My Lifetime Loving You’ with Marc Anthony, ‘If I Was A River’, as well as the French songs, ‘Aller plus haut’ and ‘Les trois cloches’.

The album earned Tina a World Music Award, and NRJ Music Award.
