Lauryn was nominated for 10 Grammy Awards in one night, which was the record for the most nominations for a female artist. She won five Grammy Awards that night, including Album of The Year, making it the first hip-hop album in history to be awarded that honour.

Lauryn also won 3 American Music Awards, a Billboard Music Award, a Blockbuster Award, 4 MTV VMAs, 4 NAACP Awards, 5 Soul Train Awards, 3 Lady of Soul Awards, 3 World Music Awards, and more.
