25th Anniversary of Tevin Campbell’s ‘I’m Ready’ album

On this day in 1993, a 16-year old Tevin Campbell released his second studio album, ‘I’m Ready’.

The album produced Tevin’s signature hit, the #1 R&B single ‘Can We Talk’, for which he won a Soul Train Award.

Other singles from the album included the title track ‘I’m Ready’, ‘Shhh’, ‘Always In My Heart’ and ‘Don’t Say Goodbye Girl’.

The album was certified 2x Platinum in the United States and peaked at #3 on Billboard’s Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart.
