Today marks the 28th anniversary of Boyz II Men’s iconic and timeless classic, “End of The Road”.
Written by Babyface, L.A. Reid and Daryl Simmons, the Platinum-certified hit was recorded in less than three hours.
The song became the biggest hit of 1992, spending an incredible 13 consecutive weeks at #1 in the US, which at the time, broke a 36-year old record held by Elvis Presley for the longest-running #1 song in history.
It also spent 4 weeks at #1 on the R&B/Hip-Hop chart, and earned the group 2 Grammy Awards, an American Music Award and 2 Soul Train Music Awards. To this day, it is regarded one of the most successful songs of all time.
‘End of The Road’ was also a #1 hit in Australia, New Zealand, Ireland, the UK, and many more countries.
The music video was remastered in HD on YouTube last year, along with a number of the group’s other hits.
