Tina Arena’s ‘Don’t Ask’ album is an iconic Australian release that was the best-selling album in Australia in 1995.
According to Tina’s official website, the album has sold over 1 million copies in Australia. This makes ‘Don’t Ask’ the second-highest selling album in Australia by an Australian female artist behind Delta Goodrem’s ‘Innocent Eyes’.

All six singles from the album were hits and continue to be played on radio regularly because they are truly timeless classics: ‘Chains’, ‘Sorrento Moon (I Remember)’, ‘Heaven Help My Heart’, ‘Wasn’t It Good’, ‘Show Me Heaven’ and ‘That’s The Way A Woman Feels’.
The #1 album spent 83 consecutive weeks in the Australian Top 50, and has been certified 14x Platinum.

It was Tina’s first album where she had more creative control, co-writing all ten songs. The international release with the alternative album cover below included an additional track; a cover of Maria McKee’s ‘Show Me Heaven’. This is now also the version available digitally in Australia.

Tina took home numerous awards for her work on the album, including 5 ARIA Awards (Tina was the first woman to ever win the ARIA Album of The Year), a Brit Award, an APRA Award, and a World Music Award.

Internationally, the album has reportedly sold over 5 million units, and some notable international chart positions were #11 in the UK, and #12 in New Zealand.
