24th Anniversary of Tina Arena’s ‘Burn’

On this day in 1997, Tina Arena released ‘Burn’ as the lead single from her #1 album, ‘In Deep’.

The single made history by becoming the fastest-added Australian song of all time on Australian radio. It debuted at #2 and was certified Gold.

In 2000, the song was covered by American country singer Jo Dee Messina and reached #2 on the US Hot Country Songs chart.

In 2001, Tina was awarded a BMI Songwriter Award for co-writing ‘Burn’.

An Italian version of the song, ‘Ti Voglio Qui’, was also released as a single, and a Spanish recording was a bonus track on ‘In Deep’ in certain countries.
