34th Anniversary of Whitney Houston’s ‘Didn’t We Almost Have It All’

On this day in 1987, Whitney Houston released ‘Didn’t We Almost Have It All’.

It became her fifth consecutive #1 single in the US, staying on top of the Hot 100 chart for two weeks. It also topped the Adult Contemporary chart for three weeks. Other notable chart positions include peaking at #2 in Canada and #4 in Ireland.

A live concert performance in New York was used as the music video.

A 2-track ‘Didn’t We Almost Have It All’ EP has recently been made available on digital and streaming services for the first time ever, and includes the b-side ‘Shock Me (with Jermaine Jackson)’.
