Usher’s ‘Nice & Slow’ was released on this day in 1998 as the second single from his breakthrough album ‘My Way’.
The song became Usher‘s very first #1 single on Billboard’s Hot 100 chart and it was certified Platinum in the US. Usher has since earned nine #1 hits on the chart.
Internationally, ‘Nice & Slow’ was a Top 10 hit in both Canada, peaking at #6, and New Zealand, peaking at #7.
Brian and Brandon of Jagged Edge co-wrote the song along with Usher, Jermaine Dupri and Manuel Seal Jr., and Jagged Edge provided background vocals on the song.
