On this day in 2001, Destiny’s Child released their third album ‘Survivor’, which includes five hit singles.
The album debuted at #1 in numerous countries, including the UK where it became the first album by a US female group to top the charts there in 24 years. The album incredibly had the biggest first-week sales in the US (over 663,000) of any album in Columbia Records history.
The international edition included three additional songs not available on the US version: ‘Perfect Man’, ‘Dance With Me’ and ‘My Heart Still Beats’. (As an Australian, it seems crazy that these tracks wouldn’t be part of the album for anybody!).
