On this day in 2000, Mariah Carey’s ‘Crybaby’ from the multi-Platinum album ‘Rainbow’ had a limited promotional release in the US and Canada.

The song features Snoop Dogg, who Mariah collaborated with again on ‘Say Somethin’ from ‘The Emancipation of Mimi’ in 2005 and more recently as part of the Apple TV+ ‘Mariah Carey’s Magical Christmas Special’ in 2020. He also appeared in Mariah’s music video for ‘Heartbreaker (Remix)’ in 1999 and provided the voice of Mariah’s dog in some skits for MTV in 2008.

Despite its limited release, ‘Crybaby’ still managed to peak at #4 in Canada and #28 in the US.
