On this day in 2004, Paulini released her debut album, ‘One Determined Heart’, following the success of Australian Idol.
‘One Determined Heart’, which was predominantly a covers album, debuted at #1 in Australia, and was certified Platinum.
The lead single, ‘Angel Eyes’, was #1 for three consecutive weeks, and was also certified Platinum. It stayed in the Top 20 for twelve weeks and was one of the highest-selling Australian singles of 2004.
19 years have passed since the first season of Australian Idol aired, where Guy Sebastian was crowned the winner, and Paulini came in fourth.
In more recent years, Paulini has shined in Australian theatre productions, including mastering the lead role as Rachel Marron in ‘The Bodyguard’, and has appeared on reality television shows ‘The Masked Singer’ and ‘I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here!’. She also competed in ‘Eurovision – Australia Decides’ earlier this year.
