On this day in 2009, Whitney Houston’s ‘I Look To You’ single was released from the album of the same name.
In the US, it charted across numerous Billboard charts, including Adult Contemporary, Hot Gospel Songs, Jazz Songs, Dance Club Songs and the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart. Most notably, it peaked at #2 on the Adult R&B Songs chart.
The stunning music video, directed by Melina Matsoukas, was awarded ‘Outstanding Music Video’ at the 2010 NAACP Image Awards.
