On this day in 2000, Whitney Houston and George Michael released ‘If I Told You That’.
The song originally appeared on Whitney’s ‘My Love Is Your Love’ album as a solo version.
Songwriter and producer Rodney Jerkins revealed that the single was intended to be a duet with Michael Jackson, however when Michael could not be secured, George Michael was the second choice.
The duet peaked at #9 in the UK, and was a #1 hit in Iceland and Poland.
