On this day in 2000, Craig David released his debut album, ‘Born To Do It’, which went on to sell over 8 million copies worldwide.

The album produced four hit singles, ‘Fill Me In’, ‘7 Days’, ‘Walking Away’, and ‘Rendezvous’.

The album debuted at #1 in the UK. In both Australia and New Zealand, it peaked at #2 and spent 52 weeks and 51 weeks respectively in the Top 50. In North America, it peaked at #3 in Canada, and #11 in the US.

‘Born To Do It’ remains one of the biggest albums by a British R&B artist in history.
