On this day in 2013, Toni Braxton and Babyface released ‘Hurt You’, the lead single from their Grammy Award-winning album, ‘Love, Marriage & Divorce’.
The single was a #1 hit on Billboard’s Adult R&B Songs chart and stayed on top for four weeks. It was Toni’s seventh #1 on that chart, and Babyface’s fourth.
In February 2021, Toni earned her eleventh Adult R&B #1 hit with ‘Gotta Move On’ featuring H.E.R, which tied her with Alicia Keys for the most #1s on that chart, however Alicia has since surpassed this. Toni is the only artist in history to have a #1 across four different decades on the chart.
