On this day in 2000, Mýa released her biggest solo hit single, ‘Case of The Ex’ from the ‘Fear of Flying’ album.
The single was a #1 hit in Australia, where it spent eleven weeks in the Top 5, and was certified Platinum. It notably peaked at #2 in the US and #3 in the UK, and was a Top 20 hit around the world.
The music video, directed by Diane Martel, was filmed in the Mojave Desert in California. It was choreographed by Tina Landon and has often drawn comparisons to Janet Jackson’s ‘You Want This’ music video.
