On this day in 1996, the Fugees released ‘Ready or Not’ as the third single from their multi-Platinum album, ‘The Score’.
The single was a Top 10 hit around the world, and was most successful in the UK, where it peaked at #1 for two weeks, and was certified Platinum.
The new-age song ‘Boadicea’ by Enya is sampled in the track. Although it wasn’t originally credited and they didn’t request permission from Enya, they ended up reaching an out-of-court settlement with the singer.
