On this day in 1994, Boyz II Men released their timeless album ‘II’.

The group dominated the charts during this period, with the album debuting at #1 in the US, producing two #1 singles, ‘I’ll Make Love To You’ and ‘On Bended Knee’, while ‘Water Runs Dry’ peaked at #2.
Other singles from the album were ‘Thank You’ and ‘Vibin’.

The album topped the charts in France and New Zealand, and peaked in the Top 20 around the world. It also topped the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart in the US.

A ‘Gold Signature’ Limited Edition was released exclusively in Australia, to commemorate their multi-Platinum sales. In the US, it surpassed Diamond status and is certified 12x Platinum (last certified in 1996).
The album won the first ever Grammy Award for Best R&B Album, which was a newly created category in 1995. It also helped the group take home American Music Awards, Blockbuster Entertainment Awards, Soul Train Music Awards, and more.

A Spanish version of the album was released called ‘II: Yo Te Voy a Amar’.

In 2019, the album’s music videos were remastered in HD on YouTube.
