On this day in 1997, Boyz II Men released ‘4 Seasons of Loneliness’ as the lead single from the ‘Evolution’ album.

Written and produced by Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis, the song is the group’s highest debut on Billboard’s Hot 100, entering at #2 behind Mariah Carey’s ‘Honey’, and climbing to #1 the following week. Internationally, it was a Top 10 hit in New Zealand, Canada and the UK.
It was also recorded by the group in Spanish as ‘4 Estaciones De Soledad’ for the ‘Evolución’ album.

The music video was directed by Paul Hunter.
