On this day in 2007, Alicia Keys released ‘No One’ as the lead single from her third studio album, ‘As I Am’.
The song was #1 on Billboard’s Hot 100 for five weeks. It also peaked at #1 on another nine Billboard charts, including the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs Chart for ten weeks. The single has been certified 7x Platinum in the US alone, and the ringtone has been certified 2x Platinum.
It was a massive success internationally, peaking within the Top 10 around the world.
‘No One’ helped Alicia take home two Grammy Awards for ‘Best R&B Song’ and ‘Best Female R&B Vocal Performance’ in 2008.
