On this day in 1999, Brian McKnight released the most successful album of his career, ‘Back at One’.
It produced three singles, including the worldwide hit ‘Back at One’, which has become Brian’s signature song.
In the US, the album was certified 3x Platinum, and peaked at #7 on the Billboard 200 chart and #2 on Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums. In Canada, it was certified Platinum and peaked at #19.
In Japan and select European countries, the album included bonus tracks ‘Whenever You Call’ with Mariah Carey, a Spanish recording of ‘Back At One’ (‘Un Dos Tres’) and ‘Tell Me’.
The album has sold over three million copies worldwide.
