On this day in 1990, Whitney Houston released ‘I’m Your Baby Tonight’ as the lead single from the album of the same name.
Written and produced by Babyface and L.A. Reid, it became Whitney’s eighth #1 hit on Billboard’s Hot 100 and fourth #1 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart. It marked the first song produced by Babyface and L.A. Reid to reach the top of the US chart.
Internationally, an alternate mix produced by Yvonne Turner was released and it was a Top 10 hit around the world.
