On this day in 2001, Usher released ‘U Remind Me’ from the multi-Platinum album ‘8701’.
The song became Usher’s second #1 hit in the US, and was a Top 5 hit in major music markets around the world. It also earned Usher his first Grammy Award for ‘Best Male R&B Vocal Performance’.
The song’s remix featured Blu Cantrell and Method Man. The music video, which was directed by Dave Meyers, featured Chilli of TLC.
